About Pads Chicago
Pads Chicago is run by a homeless person and the site is intended to serve as a tool to the homeless community. Homelessness is a fast growing problem facing our country in light of the current economic crisis. Pads Chicago contains resourceful information, downloads, links, and chat, including positive and negative feedback by members regarding their experiences. I feel that the best way to combat the homelessness problem and related issues is for everyone to work in a team effort.
I am currently homeless in Chicagoland. I struggle with personal, medical and mental health issues. I am a divorced mother of two children, whom I have not seen in over three years due to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and poor relations with their father (they are living with him now). In addition to PTSD, I have previously been diagnosed with eating disorder; self-injury; and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, inattentive type. Medical issues include chronic pain and muscle issues from myofascitis and arthritis. I am also allergic to all narcotic pain drugs so my pain relief and physical stamina is quite limited.
